LaPosada East, a clothing-optional, gay-owned and operated resort, is located in Palm Springs about three miles from the Palm Springs International Airport and has a Mediterranean feel with a Garden of Eden-type setting that will take your breath away. The tropical grounds sit on about .5 acres, with covered porticos, water features, and a wall-sized, hand-painted mural fronting a large, heated, to 90 degrees, pool. The grounds feature a covered 20 person, outdoor spa, poolside misting systems, a hammock, a covered outdoor video lounge, a full outdoor kitchen with barbeque and breakfast area, a discrete outdoor play area and shower.Each room has a queen bed, with either a full kitchen or kitchenette, refrigerator; microwave, toaster and in-room coffee service featuring Peets Coffee. All have cable TV with VCR and /or DVD player, clock radio, cordless telephone with answering machine, a hair dryer and each is individually climate controlled with central air-conditioning. Additional amenities include AVEDA bath products, luxurious cotton waffle robes and sarongs for guest use, private parking, a buffet-style expanded continental breakfast, irons and ironing boards, discounted Worlds gym passes, free local calls and wireless DSL service. The resort has an extensive complimentary video library including classic, contemporary and adult features, including titles filmed on location, for guest use. All rooms are non-smoking although smoking is permitted in the outdoor public areas. It is very pet friendly and is available for groups and private functions and is wheel-chair accessible.The grounds are quiet, private and secluded yet easily within walking distance of the popular downtown village where much of the local gay-orientated stores and nightlife are located.
